Patient Specific 3D Orthopedics
Thanks to 3D orthopedics, high-risk surgeries which are considered impossible under normal circumstances can be easily accomplished using the surgical guides that are designed specifically for each patient. Patient-specific guides are custom 3D printed tools which are produced for each patient with a unique design and planning process.
A custom-made surgical guide will only match the anatomy of the patient it was designed for and will not fit any other patient. The guide acts as a custom fitting cutting jig during the surgery ensuring perfect accuracy and precision for the pre-planned osteotomies (surgical bone cuts) therefore they are not actual implants at all. These single-use guides are 3D printed from bio-compatible medical grade plastics and are sterilized by high temperature autoclave and disposed after the operation.
